It is wrongly assumed that bronze sculptures are relatively expensive because of the cost of the metal. While bronze is more expensive than metals such as iron, steel and aluminium, the main reason for the expense is because of the many skills required to produce a piece. Also the process is very time consuming and labour intensive. For more details about whats involved in producing a bronze sculpture please use the links below to visit the various sections of the 'Services' area, starting with mould making.
As well as sculpting the originals, I also carry out all my own foundry work and finishing, so do not have to pay for the services of other people. This means I can sell my bronze figurines at a realistic price, that is within the bugdet of the average person. Most sculptors would just produce a work in clay or wax and then pass this onto a foundry to do the rest. Because I carry out all the stages myself you can be sure that every part of the bronze is my own work.
The following links will take you to my posts on various forums showing in pictures how I have produced some of my bronze sculptures from start to finish.
