Description
Pole dancer in bronze and stainless steel. Traditional liver of sulphur and ferric nitrate patina for the figure and liver of sulphur and cupric nitrate for the base. Pole is polished stainless steel topped with a bronze sphere with a cold liver of sulphur patina. Figure is hollow in the torso, upper parts of the legs and the head, to reduce weight and improve casting. The bronze averages about 0.5cm thick in these regions and is solid in the lower parts of the legs, arms and hair. However it is still relatively heavy. The quoted dimensions of this piece are from the base to the tip of the pole. The actual figure on its own is approx 30cm from tip of outstretched hand to the tip of the outstretched foot.
